[HAWAII-HULA & SURFING] An oblong souvenir photograph album with leather covers printed in color, circa
1940s or later, overall 7 x 11 inches (18 x 28 cm), housed in its original card box, the album containing approximately 44 vintage photographs, the largest 5 x 7 inches, the balance smaller. Lacks the first image only, otherwise in very fresh condition, splits to the card case.
A souvenir album from the golden days of Hawaiian travel. The album contains two photographs of surfing interest including a young surfer standing before his longboard and a trio of surfers riding a wave; numerous images of young women in Hula costume on stage sets and outdoors; the Crossroads of the Pacific sign at Pearl Harbor; the interior of the Waikiki Theater; and other vistas and buildings of note.
