Atlas portfolio: 81 aquatint or facsimile plates after Karl Bodmer, engraved by J. Hurlimann, L. Weber, C. Vogel, Salathe, Himely, Prevost, R. Rollet, P. Legrand, Desmadryl and others, many with the blindstamp C Bodmer Direct. Loose in box as issued. Comprising: 48 tableau plates numbered 1-12, 13 and 14 (facsimiles), 15-36, 37 (facsimile), 38-40, 41 and 42 (facsimiles), 43, 44 (facsimile), 45, 46 (facsimile), 47-48, and 33 vignette plates numbered 1-32, 33 (facsimile). Six tableau plates on india applique, ten vignette plates on india applique. Plates measuring approximately 17 1/2 x 24 inches or 12 x 18 inches, tableau plate 15 trimmed to 15 1/4 x 20 inches. Foxing and discoloration, some marginal tears, one with tear in plate, and marginal rubbing of plates.
