Cut Steel Beaded Evening Gown
French, circa 1910
Empire line, with pointed train, the top layer of black chiffon sewn with vertical rows of cut steel beads and applied at bodice front and mid-skirt with gilt-metal embroidered floral designs, the sleeves of tiered black net, the underskirt blush pink satin, bead fringe at hem, waist size 26 inches.
Very good condition, some discoloration and small mends to slip, some fragility to underbodice.
