Group of Four Lingerie Dresses
American, early 20th century
The first two sewn with half waistband at back, and pin tucking at hips from sides extending around back, the first worked with lace and embroidered vertical feathery scrollwork bands, repeated at hem and in V configuration at bodice, stand collar, three-quarter puffed sleeves, size 12, the second embroidered with flowerheads and sewn with pointed panel at one side, the points repeated at sleeves, floral pattern seen through lace bands echoing embroidery at vertical front and around hem, size 12, the third long, with slightly raised waist defined by inset band, whitework and openwork at bodice and skirt hem, the last a young girl's dress with monobosom bodice and full skirt.
Each very good condition.
