Maker's mark obscured, London, circa 1784, the lid possibly of a later date
Of oval form, with high scroll molded handles engraved with floral garlands centering a leopard crest, the lower half of fluted design, raised on an oval base surmounted by a conforming lid with urn-form finial. Height 11 1/2 inches (29 cm), width 19 inches (48 cm), approximately 98 ounces.
