Group of Three Pre-Columbian Textiles
Peru, Chancay, 1000-1460 A.D.
The first depicting sixteen small deities, eight on shaped flecos, tapestry weave worked in red and yellow tones, height 16 inches, width 15 inches, the next a large deity figure, possibly the mythological god Tutayquiri, gauze weave, red on neutral ground, tassels at four corners, height 16 inches, width 15 inches, the third a complete honda, height of frame 7 1/2 inches, width 40 inches. Each framed.
