Rare Tibetan Gilt Copper Alloy Figure of Vajrasattva in His Angry Manifestation
16th Century
Cast as a single piece and retaining a strong layer of gilding about the face, the figure is solidly configured and the details are well-rendered. The double lotus base is edged top and bottom with beading and the dhoti is creased in pleats highlighted with silver wirework; base sealed. Height 8 3/4 inches (22.2 cm).
