Pale Green Jade Buddha's Hand Citron-Form Brushwasher
19th Century
The low washer is langourously carved in the evenly-colored sea green jade which is dusted at the right end with microscopic garnetoid inclusions in meandering veils. The branch and leaves of the fruit serve as wrapping around one end and the decoration is finished off with three bats in flight. Length 7 1/2 inches (19 cm).
