Collection of approximately 650 still photographs, vintage prints or later copies, including many with studio identification of scene on verso, several with the photographer's stamp of Alexander Kahle or Elwood Bredell, mostly 14 inches x 10 inches or 10 inches x 8 inches, a few smaller. A few with signs of wear.
Gilbert Roland (1905-1994) was one of the most famous of the stars known as "Latin Lovers." He began his career in the silents as Armand in "Camille" opposite Norma Talmadge. In the talkies he played a wide variety of roles, appearing, for example, in eleven "Cisco Kid" movies. In a career extending from 1925 to 1982 he made more than 100 movies.
