Two Japanese Kozuka
19th Century
One shakudo and nanako with a raised rim, depicting a treasure ship laden with the objects of the Gods of Good Fortune, worked in taka-bori of gold and shakudo, signed Goto; and the other shibuichi and ji-migaki, with Hotei crossing a stream with his bag resting on his head, usu-niki-bori with gold inlay, signed Joi (Nara). Lengths 3 3/4 inches.
