Two Japanese Fuchi-Kashira
19th Century
One in shibuichi and ji-migaki, both pieces with Mandarin ducks and a stream in taka-bori of gold, shibuichi and silver; the other in shibuichi, the kashira worked as a karashishi in high relief, in his mouth a loose ball, the fuchi with a priest's fly whisk and a staff with a cap in taka-bori of silver, copper and shakudo. Lengths 1 1/2 inches.
