Lined, fairly recently. Frame rubbing. Heavy scattered cracquelure throughout, particularly around the edges and in the center of the work.
Scattered inpainting throughout. There is a 2 1/2'' horizontal area of inpainting along the Christ child's knees that appear to be a repaired tear under UV light. Condition commensurate with age.
Frame: The frame is 20th-century piece in the rococo style, embellished with cast-plaster leaves, flowers, tendrils, shells and rococo cartouches. It is finished in beige paint and metal leaf to resemble antique gold. Visible signs of wear.
