Frame rubbing. Heavy scattered cracquelure throughout, particularly around the man's face, at upper left and right center. Dirty varnish. Canvas is slightly buckled, mostly at upper right. Visible stretcher marks, specifically the upper edge.
1/4'' loss at lower right. 1'' abrasion at lower left.
