Hand-colored aquatint by J. R. Smith, 1821-22, first state of three, plate 5 of the Hudson River Portfolio, published by Henry I. Megarey and W. B. Gilley, New York and John Mill, Charleston, lightstain and matstain, some foxing and soiling, two small unobtrusive light abrasions in the image bottom right, two tears at bottom sheet edge (with paper tape applied verso, longest 1 7/8 inch, extending to the publication line), otherwise in good condition, with margins, framed.
