Hand-colored aquatint by John Hill, 1822-23, first state of two, plate 4 of the Hudson River Portfolio, published by Henry I. Megarey, New York, lightstain and matstain, old paper tape along top sheet edge verso, a few stitch holes with some associated creasing, nicks and small tears along left sheet edge, some old linen tape residue at top sheet corners, unobtrusive handling creases, some foxing and soiling, a few unobtrusive specks of white in the rapids, otherwise in good condition, with margins, framed.
