THE JUNCTION OF THE SACANDAGA AND HUDSON RIVERS (DEAK 320.2; KOKE 76)
Hand-colored aquatint, 1821-22, first state of two, plate 2 of the Hudson River Portfolio, published by Henry I. Megarey and W. B. Gilley, New York and John Mill, Charleston, lightstain and matstain, a few stitch holes with some associated creasing, nicks and small tears along left sheet edge, a few foxing spots, some soiling and other discoloration, some old paper tape and glue residue at sheet corners verso, an unobtrusive 3/8 inch puncture in the mountains at right, a small puncture outside the image at right, handling creases, some other creasing and rippling (mainly outside the image), some losses and a 3/4 inch tear at bottom sheet edge, otherwise in good condition, with margins, framed.
