Volume II: xi, (including title), 295 pp., with three plates, one as frontispiece, one plate folding, the text followed by 5 pp. of Dodsley's catalogues. Some rubbing to binding; Edward Huth's bookplate, also with William B. Gerhard's plate.
Written pseudonymously, this extraordinary fantasy recounts a shipwreck, and the discovery of a winged race within a cavern accessed via the South Pole. The illustrations, especially the folding plate of aerial conflict, are exceptional. Sabin, 58394.
