Later three-quarters calf, marbled sides. 8 1/4 inches (21 cm); frontispiece, 36 pp. Binding worn, a tear with loss to the gutter margin of the title; Together with [TOURNON, ALEXANDRE-EDITOR]. La Vie et les Memoires de Pilatre de Rozier. Paris: Chez l'Editeur, etc., 1786. First edition. Later full calf, original wrappers bound in. 7 inches (18 cm); frontispiece, 72 pp. The title has some restorations, but overall this is a clean copy.
The second work was published after de Rozier's death on an attempted crossing of the English Channel, on June 15, 1785. Both works have William G. Gerhard's bookplate.
