Ridinger, [after 1768]. 19th century half calf. 20 x 13.5 cm (51.5 x 35.5 cm); engraved pictorial title, 100 engraved plates of game animals, including Ridinger's famous engravings of deer, printed on wove paper, hence later strikes. Covers detached and worn, internally even toning, a small marginal tear to one plate.
A magnificent suite of engravings by the finest German animalier of the period, a posthumous edition of considerable rarity.
