Modern half calf. marbled sides, all edges sprinkled red. 13 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches (35 x 22 cm); frontispiece, 8 ff., 290, [2], 134 pp., with the engraved title as noted, folding map and 34 plates, plus many engravings in text. Lacking the portrait, some old marginal restorations, one plate with a small hole expertly repaired with a small amount of infilling, marginal annotations in pencil throughout.
