Not examined out of frames. Both portraits appear to have been framed originally in arched frames.
Mrs. Conrad: Unlined. Tacking edge is friable and broken or missing in areas. Canvas is consequently slack, with some buckling at the corners and along the left edge. Old dirty varnish, surface grime.
