Old lining, flattened craquelure. Old dense varnish layer, selectively cleaned in the costume, face and hair. The lower eyelids, lower lip, and the right contour of the sitter's body, neck and face have been strengthened. Areas of inpaint in the lower (proper) right arm, just above the lower edge, and also in the sleeve. Scattered areas of inpaint in the background.
