Late 17th century
Each arched scroll-carved cresting above a caned panel between block- and ring-turned stiles, the caned seat raised on scrolled legs joined by a front high arched stretcher. Height 51 inches (129 cm), width 18 inches (45.8 cm), depth 13 inches (33 cm).

English side chairs; all with old marks and scratches; age cracks to elements; losses to caning; with later carving; scuffs to feet
1. replaced finials to top rail; caning to seat broken out front; wood worm damage to back right leg
2. shrinkage and arched front stretchers, previous restoration to front seat rail
3. age cracks to arched front stretchers; back stretcher with wood worm and now broken
4. age cracks to arched front stretchers; caning broken out; wood worm damage to legs
