Tibetan Gilt-Bronze Figure of a Bodhisattva
19th Century
Seated in dhyanasana on an cloisonne enameled double lotus throne, the hands held in the lap, dressed in a long dhoti with incised foliate hem, scarves and turquoise inlaid jewelry, the serene face framed with elongated earlobes and foliate form earrings and a foliate crown before hair gathered into a high double top knot. Height 10 7/8 inches.

Possibly holding an alms bowl in the hands at one point, now missing. Some minor loss to turquoise beading, gilt wear.
