Baltic Neoclassical Brass-Mounted Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet
Early 19th century
In two parts, the upper section with stepped top and fluted frieze above a reverse-breakfronted case with a pair of glazed mullioned doors with engaged pilasters headed by Ionic capitals and opening to adjustable shelves, the conforming projecting lower section with a pair of roundel-mounted paneled doors with half-round pilasters and Ionic capitals, opening to two drawers over shelves, raised on block feet. Height 6 feet 11 inches (2.11 m), width 48 1/2 inches (1.23 m), depth 21 1/4 inches (54 cm).
