[N.p.: privately printed, circa 1915]. First edition. Original printed wrappers, string-tied. 7 3/8 x 5 5/8 inches; 30 pp.; plates after photographs, with autograph letter signed by the author loosely inserted. Staining along lower edge of a few text leaves, lightly and evenly toned throughout, but attractive.
Containing a letter presenting the pamphlet to a Mr. Lang, handwritten and signed by the author. "A very scarce little work detailing the author's travels through the region, including a safari after lions and hippopotamus. There is also note of the slave trade in the area" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 180.
