Pair of Regency Giltwood and Gilt-Composition Large Convex Mirrors
First quarter 19th century
Each with ebonized slip within a foliate-cast and beaded molded frame surmounted by a displayed eagle cresting on an engaged columnar pedestal above a lion mask flanked by oak leaves with acorns and scrolling acanthus leaves. Height 58 inches (147.3 cm), width 34 inches (86.3 cm).

With previous restorations, later gilding, minor losses to carved elements, age cracks and losses to composition elements, age cracks to ebonized slips, backs have been overpainted, crestings appear to be original, vacant screw holes to back suggest there were originally more elements, possibly pendants and almost certainly once with candle arms, as are often found on these types of mirrors
