Third quarter 18th century
Each flower-carved shaped back and seat raised on molded cabriole legs. Height 35 1/4 inches (89.6 cm), width 22 1/2 inches (57.3 cm), depth 17 inches (43.2 cm).

Claude-Étienne Michard, maître in 1757.

Previously a set of six, several stamped Michard; good condition commensurate with age and use, losses, rubbing and restorations to painted and gilt decoration, caning later, later corner blocks to underframing, old marks and scratches, small repaired break to one at top side of left front leg.
