A quality group of approximately 25 signed or inscribed typed and autograph letters, notes, photographs, documents, quotations, etc. from mostly mid-19th to 20th century scientists, reformers, philosophers, psychiatrists, religious figures, etc. Most items 10 x 8 inches (25 x 20 cm) or smaller. Some with wear, sold as is.
Includes: Sir William Jackson Hooker (signed document, 1850); Sir George Biddell Airy (2, autograph document signed 1845 and ALS); Dr. Harry Benjamin (two page TLS on sexuality, Benjamin coined the phrase "transexualism"); Emile Coue (signed quote "Day by day in every way I am getting better and better"); Dorothy Canfield Fisher; L'Abbe Sicard (als); Martin Buber (als); Sir Richard Gregory; C.W.
