Includes A shooting trip to Ulu Pahang [1923]; A trip after Elephant. Selangor M.F. States 1918; A trip after elephants Negri Sembila 1919; and Sport in Malaya. A tiger hunt [1923]. Likely unpublished, or produced for private circulation. Modern cloth. Each 10 1/4 x 8 inches (26 x 20 cm); 46 ff.; 10 ff.; 16 ff; 10 ff., typescript on rectos only; each with original photographs mounted in the text, approximately 30 in all. About fine.
Brown, a noted Shikari in the Malay States region, was a friend of the well-known hunter Theodore Hubback, and contributed to his 1924 Big-game shooting. With an article on "The tiger", and Hubback is mentioned in the text of the first work here, which also contains a copy of Bank's obituary from the Straits Times. These works may have been lecture notes by Banks.
