New York: Henry G. Allen, [1887]. Edition de luxe, no. 249 of 800 copies. Two volumes. Original pebbled cloth, worn and broken and lacking the rear cover to volume II. 25 1/2 x 18 inches (65 x 45 cm); complete with 72 lithographed plates (many chromolithographed), pictorial titles. Preliminary text leaves disbound and chipped, vol. I title detached at stub and chipped, plates generally quite clean, a few with thumbsoiling or toning to margins, 2 small chips to margin of first plate in vol. II and a few others with minor chips. Binding broken as noted. Sold with all faults. Blackmer 143.
