GARDNER, ALEXANDER [attrib.] (1821-1882) [Group of Union Officers in a Wood],
circa 1864. Unmounted albumen print, image 7 x 9 inches (178 x 231 mm). Strong tones, small nick at right, some creasing to foot, a small restoration (possibly of a tear, though this is not visible) noted on the verso, which bears a pencilled notation that this is from the Oldway Gardner Collection. Framed.
