London: Chapman and Hall, 1840-41. First edition in book form, likely bound from the parts. Three volumes. Early three-quarters red morocco gilt over pebbled cloth by Pratt. 10 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches (26 x 17 cm); frontispieces and in-text illustration. Some light wear to joints, hinges loose, wear to headcap of volume II and few leaves sprung, spotting within, bookplates of William Waldorf, Baron Astor of Hever Castle.
