London: George Routledge, 1858. First edition. Three-quarters dark blue morocco, marbled sides, spine with angling motifs. 7 x 4 1/2 inches (17.5 x 11.5 cm); xvi, 398 pp., lacking the 2 pp. of terminal ads; 8 duotone plates. Edges rubbed, joints worn but sound.
An interesting series of travel and hunting accounts, especially noteworthy as the first mention of fishing in Australia (written by a direct descendant of Walton's friend Charles Cotton, no less). Westwood & Satchell pp. 78-79.
