[Bombay]: Oxford University Press, [1944]. True first edition. Publisher's beige buckram, map endpapers. 8 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches (21.5 x 13.5 cm); xvi, 228 pp.; plates after photographs. Binding a little soiled, rubbed.
Scarce, this is the true first edition published in Bombay, not seen by Czech, who cites the American edition (p. 51). Sold with a copy of the second Indian (Bombay) edition, in the orange cloth of issue. All the Bombay editions are quite scarce.
