"A British civil servant, Okeden kept a detailed journal of his sporting adventures spanning two decades in the area between Agra and Calcutta. This is an extensive record of hunting tigers, sambur, cheetal, and other game in the region, all with muzzle-loading guns. A rare and excellent portrait of game shooting before the Great Mutiny" (Czech, apparently this copy). Czech, Asia, p. 153.
