BLOMFIELD, JAMES Rod, Gun, and Palette in the High Rockies. Being a record of an Artist's Impressions in the Land of the Red Gods.
Chicago: W. E. Wroe, 1914. First edition (reportedly one of 25 copies). Original three-quarters sheep over gilt lettered cloth. 10 1/4 x 7 inches (26 x 17.5 cm); 116 pp.; color plates and in-text illustration. Binding slightly soiled and rubbed, unevenly toned at the fore-edge of the boards, internally clean.
"Wroe, the publisher, invited Blomfield on this trip, and was probably host. Sketches of the participants are in the book, the text is in the form of a log kept by Blomfield, Rare" (Bruns). Bromfield was an English artist living in Chicago at the time of this expedition. Bruns B-180; Streeter 4129.
