[MAP--UNITED STATES] BLANCHARD, RUFUS. Historical Map of the United States Showing Early Spanish, French & English Discoveries and Explorations, also Forts, Towns & Battlefields of Historic Interest.
Chicago: Blanchard, 1876. Very large lithographed folding map printed in colors and with some hand-coloring, the map laid on linen and folding into original folio gilt lettered calf boards. The map opens to about 54 x 58 inches (137 x 147 cm). The verso with a 10-panel "Tablet of History." Folds points with a few punctures and some discolor, covers rubbed; map with splits and small losses at fold intersections.
