Includes approximately 15 pamphlets on Native American languages, forced education etc; and a further 25 volumes (consisting of multiple copies of volume III, 1898 and Volume V, 1900) of the Anishanabe Enemiad. A monthly journal published by the Franciscan Fathers, and devoted to the interests of the missions among the Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Various sizes and paginations. Some wear, creasing etc. Sold as is.

The miscellaneous pamphlets include N.L. Sifferath's rare A Short Compendium of the Catechism for the Indians... Buffalo, 1869, in publisher's plain blue wrappers (Pilling, 462); three of Pilling's separately published language bibliographies; two publications (1881 and 1882) listing the staff at the Santee Normal Trading School in Nebraska; six volumes of the Report of the Superintendent of the Hot Springs Indian Reservation to the Secretary of the Interior (1893-1897); and the Message of the President in relation to the proceedings and conduct of the Choctaw commission..."; and several others.
