Contemporary calf boards, rebacked, with old spine label retained. 7 3/8 x 4 1/2 inches (19 x 11.75 cm); [2], xxxv, 309, [5] pp., with engraved frontispiece, 10 folding plates, and 2 illustrations in text. Boards bowed and worn, rebacked, contents spotted and toned, a few gatherings dampstained, armorial bookplate and book label of Elizabeth Woodburn.
