Sèvres Porcelain Rose and Garland (Roses et Feuillages) Two-Handled Broth Bowl, Cover and Oval Stand (Écuelle Ronde et Plateau Ovale)
Circa 1765, green interlaced L's marks enclosing a faint date letter M, painter's dotted circlet mark for Raux, l'aîné, and blue BD for Baudouin, père, potter's incised ED to stand
Painted with scattered rose blossoms within berried laurel garlands and gilt dentil rims. Width of stand 7 1/4 inches (18.2 cm).
Raux, fils aîné, was a painter of flowers at Sèvres active 1766-1779.
François Baudouin, père, was a gilder at Sèvres active 1750-1800.
