appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; there is some general wear, rubbing and dulling to the patina, commensurate with age and handling; the greatest wear/rubbing to the patina is perhaps along one side of the rim edge of the oval-shaped picture area; there are no losses to any of the circular abalone inserts, which, presumably, are original, however, some may be later replacements; the frame now lacks its clear glass protective plate (in the picture area)
