English Palissy Ware Majolica Brown-Ground Snake and Frog Pitcher
Attributed to Samuel Alcock, circa 1890
Naturalistically modeled as a tree-stump with a small frog perched on the spout, the trunk molded with oak branches and entwined with a rising snake, the handle and mouth as a bifurcated branch, pink interior and yellow underside, signed with a painted O. Height 10 inches.
