Claret silk faille, the sleeveless sheath with sweeping asymmetrical neckline, falling into a cape effect at back, the skirt gathered at waist on one side, an oblique pocket jutting from the other, the skirt further wrapping around back to button at an angle at left hip, size 8, no label.
Very good condition, minor discoloration at armscyes, extra stitch marks along zipper.

The dress was made to be worn to opening night of The King and I in March, 1951.
