Two Japanese Fuchi-Kashira
19th Century
One of copper, the kashira decorated with a raised lobster with shakudo eyes, the fuchi with a shakudo band horizontally running around the piece with an inlaid shiny lobster in hira-zogan of gold, signed Tomoyoshi with kakihan; the other of shakudo and ishime, both pieces worked with the masts and riggings of boats behind tall grasses in taka-bori of gold. Lengths 1 1/2 inches.
