Two Japanese Fuchi-Kashira
19th Century
One worked in shibuichi, ji-magaki, the fuchi with a bamboo section in shibuichi and gold, the kashira with a peasant farmer in straw clothing and a straw hat walking with a folded umbrella and hoe, and the other in taka-bori of shakudo, gold and silver, both pieces with braking waves in high relief worked in taka-bori with gold dots representing bubbles. Lengths 1 1/2 inches.
