Two Japanese Fuchi
19th Century
One depicting an episode of the story of Siminaru, incised with copper and gold inlay, signed and inscribed Hamano Nori Yuki in the 66th year of his life; the other worked in shibuichi and ji-migaki, with a bird perched beside a stream, signed Haruaki Murakami; Together with a Fuchi-Kashira. In shakudo and ishime, both pieces incised with the trunk of a bamboo tree, branches and leaves in kata-kiri. Lengths 1 1/2 inches.
