... Dublin: George Faulkner, 1751. First Irish edition. Two volumes, full contemporary calf. 6 1/2 inches (17 cm); volume I: title, preliminaries, 231 pp., with five engraved plates; volume II: title, preliminaries, 264 pp. Wear to joints, especially on volume II, but holding, and not an unattractive copy. Marginal tear (with loss) just touching a contents leaf in the second volume, margin of the folding plate eroded with minor loss, overall a very acceptable copy.
Published the same year as the first London edition, this Dublin edition is rare, with only two copies reported in the US by the English Short Title Catalogue, online version.
