. [Paris: L'Imprimerie de la Republique, 1797]. First edition. 19th century three-quarters purple morocco gilt, marbled sides. 23 5/8 inches (60 cm): engraved title and 69 maps and plates. Top edge slightly trimmed by the binder, the other two margins uncut showing the sheet deckle, some minor wear to the binding, but this is an uncommonly large and unusually fresh example. This copy does not have the engraved half-title or portrait sometimes noted, but not strictly called-for.
