Doyle New York's Important Estate Jewelry auction on April 21, 2010 saw international competitive bidding from in the salesroom, on the telephones, and on the Internet. The sale offered jewelry spanning the Antique, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modern eras by some of the world's most prestigious makers, including Cartier, David Webb, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Tiffany & Co. Also featured were fine watches and objets de vertu, including elegant compacts and cufflinks. A special section showcased Bochic celebrity jewelry that was sold to benefit the people of Haiti. The competition between private buyers and dealers resulted in a strong total of $3,010,435 with 74% sold by lot and 75% sold by value.
